Hi!
This time I'm going to tell about Monday 26th of December that was probably the longest day and there are so many pictures from only that day so it deserves its own post. Warning: heavy picture post!!
Kamakura, Enoshima, Yokohama
We had to wake up early to catch a train to our first destination, Kamakura. I really liked Kamakura, could almost feel the history around. We ate in some pasta place and then went to Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine (鶴岡八幡宮).
From the Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine we went to see Kamakura Daibutsu statue by Enoden (江ノ電).
On the way back from Daibutsu I noticed there was another shrine that looked nice and I'm glad we went to see it, spent another hour there. It was called Hasedera Temple (長谷寺).
Finally after getting out of the Hasedera Temple we went to Enoshima (江の島) that was a small island. Because of the palm trees I felt like I was in somewhere south and not in Japan. We took escalator up to the view platform and walked back down, so many stairs...
Our last destination was Yokohama. We met my two tutor students who study in Yokohama University, I was so glad to see them again after last September! We ate in Chinatown, the food was delicious (we ate so fast I couldn't take pictures). From there we walked to port and saw Minatomirai (みなとみらい), it was so beautiful! Then we walked to the world's biggest clock; the Cosmo Clock 21. After that we walked back to station and said goodbyes to my tutor students and went back to Tokyo.
Lol the taxi queue was long |
The day was very long and tiring, we probably walked over 20km in total. But I got to see many beautiful and historic places and it was definitely worth it! :-3
